The Lancaster Hall Hotel takes its responsibility towards the security of guest’s information as its highest priority and conforms to the rules contained in the General Data Protection Regulations introduced in May 2018.

The following policy applies to guests booking residential accommodation and those booking conference facilities or other functions.

If you choose to contact the Lancaster Hall Hotel you may need to pass personal data to us through this site, via emails, post, telephone or in person.

This data is required so that bookings can be processed efficiently for the benefit of both the guest and the Lancaster Hall Hotel.

Where you provide personal data to the Lancaster Hall Hotel such data will be used only for the service you have requested and will never be shared with a third party.

The Lancaster Hall Hotel's site does not automatically capture or store personal data from visitors to the site, other than to log the user’s IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit to the site and the nature of the browser used. This information is used only for administration of the site system and in the compilation of statistics used by the Lancaster Hall Hotel to assess the use of the site. The Lancaster Hall Hotel does not use "cookies" to collect user information from this site.

Email addresses are not automatically captured electronically but for operational reasons emails may be printed and kept on file for future reference. For operational reasons all electronically stored emails are deleted one year after receipt and any printed hard copies securely destroyed one year after the guest’s departure. If you would like your details, apart from your reservation information, to be deleted immediately, please inform the hostel’s reception.

The hotel does not store guest’s credit or debit card details and has no direct access to the details submitted via this website using a secure and encrypted link.

To enable the efficient operation of the hostel and comply with audit requirements, guest history is stored electronically in the hostel's reservation system for a period of two years after which it is deleted.

Guest registration forms are securely stored for a period of 12 months after which they are destroyed. This is a legal requirement.

CCTV monitoring takes place at all entrance and exit points from the hostel and a number of other locations. This monitoring is for safety and security reasons only and may be passed to the police as required. Recordings are retained for a maximum of six weeks.
